The UN General Assembly recently voted to declare 25 July the International Day for Judicial Wellbeing. This is off the back of a growing global conversation about the psychologica impact of judicial work, and the central importance of judicial wellbeing to judicial integrity and the quality of justice delivered. This webinar will look at the small but growing body of empirical research on judicial stress and wellbeing, focusing in particular on the presenter’s own research in Australia, to explore the evidence-base for the unfolding conversation and the strategies that courts and judges can implement to protect occupational wellbeing in this critical and complex role.
