The coalition agreement of the (relatively) new German government declares that the German judiciary should be supported to increase its quality through streamlined rules of procedure, digitization including the cautious use of AI and the hiring of more judges. The presentation discusses the state of the German judiciary and how these goals of the federal government build on previous ideas for reform of the federation and the Länder.
